Grace B

My name is Grace Burns. I am a certified Yoga instructor with The Yoga Alliance, and a certified Pilates instructor with Synergy Movement. I am also a certified Hot Yoga instructor with YogaFit, a certified Spinning instructor with Mad Dogg Athletics, and a certified Zumba instructor. I have my CPR and First Aid. I focus on teaching mainly Yoga and Hot yoga, and also Pilates classes.  

As a dedicated fitness professional, my passion is to enable others to live healthy, vibrant lives. I am a certified Yoga teacher with The Yoga Alliance and have over 2000 hours of Yoga teaching experience. I am also a certified Pilates instructor. I teach Yoga and Pilates at a variety of fitness and educational centers, at studios, in corporate settings, and privately with clients in their homes. I am a certified Hot Yoga instructor and also enjoying teaching Yoga in the heat. I have taught Yoga and Pilates to adults, seniors, people with special needs, and to children in public schools in the GTA. I have experience teaching Yoga and Pilates to provincially and nationally ranked athletes, was a Yoga Ambassador for Lululemon Athletica, and in 2012 I produced my own Yoga television program on Rogers Durham called Yoga Moments with Grace. Prior to becoming a fulltime wellness professional, I worked in leadership and management roles in the non-profit, private, and public sectors. My academic background includes a BA degree from Harvard University and a Master’s in Management from McGill. As a former ballet dancer and marathon runner, I believe one of the main ingredients to a happy, fulfilling life is being fit. I am always eager to learn new ways of teaching to keep my classes fresh and inspiring. I am thankful I can share yoga with those who come to my classes at The Pan American Sports Centre and see how their lives change for the better. I look forward to meeting you in one of my classes!
