Dear TPASC Members ,

We've updated the TPASC app to make check-ins faster and more secure. Now from here on instead of a barcode, the app will now create a QR code to scan at the turnstiles.

Here's how to use it.

Make sure your TPASC app is updated to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. If you don't see the update yet, don't worry. It may take a few days to reach the relevant app downloading centres, If the updates are now showing in your relevant app centres, rest assured, it will be available within a week.

Until then, you can keep using your barcode as usual. Once you have updated the App, open the app, go to the 'QR Code' tab, and tap 'Generate QR Code'. Then, scan it at the turnstile, just like you did with your barcode.

Each QR code is valid for 60 seconds. If yours expires, just tap 'Generate QR Code' again to get a new one.

Note for UTSC students and staff: UTSC cards can no longer be linked in the TPASC app. Please continue to use your U of T card at the turnstile.

Locker Safety Reminder

Please help keep your belongings safe

We want to remind all Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (TPASC) members, patrons, students and guests to take extra care with their personal belongings while visiting the facility.

We have experienced thefts from lockers and while TPASC has staff and on-site security measures in place, there are limits to what we can prevent or monitor.

The best way to protect your belongings is to avoid bringing valuable items to the facility whenever possible.

If you must bring valuables with you:

• Always use a proper, high-quality lock on your locker. Luggage locks and inexpensive dollar-store locks are not recommended, as they may be easier to compromise.
• Make sure your locker is properly secured before leaving the area.
• Do not share your locker or lock combination/key with others.
• Keep valuables, including wallets, electronics, jewellery and other personal items,with you and in constant sight whenever possible.

For your convenience, locks are available for purchase or rental at our Customer Service Desk

• Westcott combination lock: $10, plus tax — available for purchase
• Master Lock key lock: $2 including tax — available for rental

Please remember that TPASC is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. We take reasonable measures to help maintain a safe and secure environment through our staffand on-site security, but we cannot guarantee the security of personal belongings.Anyone caught stealing or attempting to steal from another person at TPASC will be reported to police and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, up to and including permanent loss of their right to access the facility.

If you witness a theft in progress or notice suspicious activity, please report it immediately to TPASC Security or the Customer Service Desk. Providing a description of the person,location and activity can help our team respond quickly.

We have launched the new parking system, on Monday 28th Septmeber, intented to improve parking access, management and enforcement at Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (TPASC).

To prepare for the transition, all members with monthly or annual parking must register their vehicle license plate information with the Customer Service desk.

Action required: Register your vehicle(s).

We recommend registering your plate(s) as soon as possible, to help ensure a smooth transition to the new parking system.

You may register up to two vehicles on your parking account.

When registering your vehicle(s), you will need to:

1. Provide the license plate number(s) for up to two vehicles.
2. Present your plate permit or vehicle ownership documentation to Customer Service.
3. Confirm that the license plate information matches the address information associated with your TPASC account.

This verification ensures parking privileges are assigned to the correct member account.

Please complete your registration as soon as possible. 

Complimentary parking with an annual membership

Pay for your annual membership in full and receive complimentary parking.

If you renewed your membership

• During the period when paid parking was unavailable and paid in full for your annual membership, you are eligible for complimentary parking under this offer.
• During this period on a month-to-month membership, you could switch to an annual membership paid in full to receive complimentary parking.

If you are interested in converting your membership to an annual membership, please speak with our Customer Service team.

New parking rates

Monthly parking rate

• $40 + tax per month.

The monthly parking rate includes new limits on the number of license plates that may be registered per membership, as well as on-site parking restrictions.

Daily parking flat rates*

Flat rates are based on time of entry and include tax.

• Midnight – 3:59 p.m.: $15.10 (valid uptil 11:59 am)
• 4 p.m. – 11:59 p.m.: $9.05 (valid uptil 11:59 am)

* Daily flat rate is applicable per entry over 2 hours.

Two hours of parking will remain complimentary.

If your vehicle remains on site beyond the two-hour complimentary period, the applicable flat daily rate will apply.

Also, please note the addition of a NEW EV parking charging rate of $2/hour, plus HST. App download will be required. Instructions will be posted on-site.

What happens next?

Once your vehicle information has been registered and verified, your license plate(s) will be associated with your parking account in the new system.

PLEASE NOTE that only one registered license plate/household can be parked at the facility at any one time.

The new system will help TPASC better manage parking availability and access while improving enforcement of parking regulations.
